Bernina 440 Embroidery

This class is designed for those that have purchased the sewing/embroidery440 Aurora series by Bernina. You must have the embroidery module for this class, your Editor-Lite software installed on your PC, and have taken at least Bernina Machine 1 that is offered for the sewing machine. PC`s recommended in class or you can sign up to observe. If you are just observing, please make us aware of this. We recommend taking the Windows 101 before this class also but it is not mandatory. The same information is taught at all of the following dates:

We will take you beyond the basics so that you can enhance your machine embroidery skills. You must take Software 1 and Computer 101 before taking this class, or you may test out of Computer 101. This class is for students that own Designer Plus Version 5 or 6. We will take you beyond the basics into the world of creative digitizing. Computer 101

This class was designed to give our customers a stronger understanding of how to use their computer before heading into any of our software classes. This class is required before taking any of our software class, or you can test out of it (skip it if you pass our test). In this class we will give you an understanding of "mousing", file management, and what to do and what NOT to do with your computer. We will also cover some mail and Internet features that are commonly overlooked. CLASS FEE: $50.00

PILLOW CASE DRESS PROJECT

CS Sewing would love for you to help us send as many pretty little pillowcase dresses to Africa as we can.
This will be a rewarding outreach event that is sure to bless the lives of many young girls in Africa.

Fun with Embroidery - Basic Sweatshirt

This class is designed to take you beyond your Owner's Classes and get you comfortable with an embroidery project from start to finish.  You will get practical experience and understanding of embroidery stabilizers, and marking and hooping your project.  Just bring a Polo or T-Shirt to class with you (of a knit fabric) and we will show you how to confidently add embroidery to personalize your shirt.  Pre-requiste to this class is that you have a basic understanding of your machine.   All brands of embroidery machines are welcome as long as you have a basic understanding of operating your machine.  CLASS FEE: $20.00 plus supplies

Fun with Embroidery - Neck Ties

This Kwik Sew pattern is the greatest tie pattern in the industry making these ties a breeze to put together.  We added embroidery to our tie to give it a personal touch.  In class we will help you construct the tie, as well as, understanding the placement of the embroidery design.  We will also help you achieve proper stabilization for a professional stitch out.  You can select your own design, but there will be sizing limitations due to the width of the ties.  CLASS FEE:  $20.00

Fun With Embroidery - Towel Toppers

This is a fantastic class that incorporates machine embroidered applique with free-standing embroidery.  The project ends up being this adorable towel for your kitchen, and another great part is that 1 towel will make 2 projects.  The Dakota Collectable Design Collection that we use for this class has many different towel toppers to pick from and we will allow you to choose your own in class.  These makes great gifts, and since 1 towel makes 2, we recommend keeping 1 for yourself!  CLASS FEE:  $20.00

Brand Friendly Embroidery Club

The long awaited Embroidery Club is finally here!  This is Travere City's only BRAND FRIENDLY Embroidery Club, and we are so happy to be able to share it with you.  There are many things that make this club special.  The first item being that you can watch the lecture portion if that is all you wish to stay for, but you can also stay for the hands on embroidery part following the lecture portion AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!  The second item of uniqueness is that all brands of machines are welcome, we just ask that you know how to use your machine as this is not a machine guide class.  The third item we are excited to share is that you can come to just the hands on portion of the club if you wish, and embroider what you want to work on rather than the project selected for the month.*  If that wasn't enough, we have also added an awesome discount pass just for Club Members.  This will entitle Club Members to a 20% Discount off store items (some exclusions apply) the day of club!  Lastly, we will be doing all this in our spacious "Orchard Room" conference center located right behind CS Sewing.  If you have not been by to check out this class room, you must come take a look.....all the customers are raving about it!  Call now to guarantee your spot in Traverse City's best little secret - The Brand Friendly Embroidery Club.

Software Sampler Club

Our software sampler club is the newest and greatest opportunity for Bernina Embroidery Software owners in Northern Michigan!  This fun-filled, yet educational MONTHLY class is set up so that the first half is put together by a Bernina Educator that we get to view over the Web.   The second half of class will be guided by CS Sewing Educators to take what was just talked about and turn it into a hands-on computer project.  If you would only like to stay for the first half which is lecture style, that is fine, but you are encouraged to stay for both as the cost is the same.  In this class you will be given a CD with the information from class on it for you to keep.  Customer's do need to bring their own computers to this class if they intend to stay for the hands-on portion.  MONTHLY CLASS FEE $25.00
