TroubleshootingA good rule of thumb is to always keep the bobbin area of your machine clean from lint.  Some machines require oiling, and some machines do not.  Please speak with one of our technicians to see if your machine requires external oiling.  If your machine is not performing as it should, try rethreading the machine both top thread and bobbin thread.  Be careful to make sure your top thread is resting in the tension disk area appropriately.  If your stitching is not forming correctly on the bottom, it usually means your top thread is not in the correct position.  If your stitching is not forming correctly on the top, that usually means the bobbin area is causing the problem.  Make sure you are using the correct bobbin for your machine (bobbins are not all universal).  Sometimes winding a new bobbin can help.  Also make sure to put a new needle in your machine and that the needle is the correct type and size for the fabric you are working with.  It is very important that the needle is all the way up into the needle shaft area and clamped down firmly.  When all else fails, turn off the machine and then back on again.  If your stitches still do not look correct, please feel free to bring your machine in for a FREE estimate.

CS Sewing is owned and operated by Jennifer and Scott Kreta.

We are a small family owned business serving all of Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
In this photo you will see our son (left) who graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Applied Science & Engineering.  He is back in Traverse City with us, and he also owns his own production company.  Our daughter, (second in left) recently graduated from our local high school with high honors.  She will be attending our local college this full to work on all her general education classes.  So wise!  These two have grown up with our customers, so we like to update these photos so our sewing family can see how the "kids" are doing and how proud we are them both.
