BABY LOCK Sashiko Machine
Scott and Jennifer had a wonderful time at AQS in Grand Rapids and then had a fantastic educational experience at Baby Lock Tech immediately following the AQS Show. The tired travelers are home and so excited to show you some of the new things. To the left is a sampling of what the Baby Lock Sashiko machine can do. If you have not played with this yet, please come in and see what she has to offer. If you are a quilter, this machine will help you finish your quilts so quickly AND make it look like it was done by hand!
The Sashiko machine can be used to enhance many different types of projects. Here you see sewing for children with panels made to look like smocking, inserts that resemble embroidery, and hems that resemble hand embroidered quilting.

Here we are demonstrating how the Sashiko machine is a fantastic choice for sewing on quilt binding! Used in conjunction with the bias binder tool, this machine sews on the binding in a one step processes and the finished masterpiece is outstanding!
In photo two, we are couching on decorative thread with the Sashiko machine. You follow straight lines, applique, or create your own pattern. The possibilities are endless with this wonderful machine.

Of course, sashiko is perfect for the tradition hand-look quilting, but it's also ideal to add to non-traditional quilting pieces as well. Here you see a wall hanging that incorporates a small amount of piecework, applique, and some machine embroidery along with the sashiko used to finish and enhance this piece.
Unleash your inner artist with the Baby Lock Sashiko machine.
