BABY LOCK Sashiko Machine

SashikoScott and Jennifer had a wonderful time at AQS in Grand Rapids and then had a fantastic educational experience at Baby Lock Tech immediately following the AQS Show.  The tired travelers are home and so excited to show you some of the new things.  To the left is a sampling of what the Baby Lock Sashiko machine can do.  If you have not played with this yet, please come in and see what she has to offer.  If you are a quilter, this machine will help you finish your quilts so quickly AND make it look like it was done by hand!

 Sashiko3

The Sashiko machine can be used to enhance many different types of projects.  Here you see sewing for children with panels made to look like smocking, inserts that resemble embroidery, and hems that resemble   hand embroidered quilting.

sashiko binding

Here we are demonstrating how the Sashiko machine is a fantastic choice for sewing on quilt binding!  Used in conjunction with the bias binder tool, this machine sews on the binding in a one step processes and the finished masterpiece is outstanding!

In photo two, we are couching on decorative thread with the Sashiko machine.  You follow straight lines, applique, or create your own pattern.  The possibilities are endless with this wonderful machine.

sashiko4

Of course,  sashiko is perfect for the tradition hand-look quilting, but it's also ideal to add to non-traditional quilting pieces as well.  Here you see a wall hanging that incorporates a small amount of piecework, applique, and some machine embroidery along with the sashiko used to finish and enhance this piece.

Unleash your inner artist with the Baby Lock Sashiko machine.

CS Sewing is owned and operated by Jennifer and Scott Kreta.

We are a small family owned business serving all of Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
In this photo you will see our son (left) who just graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Applied Science & Engineering.  He is now employed in Chicago in his field, and he also owns his own production company.  Our daughter, (second in left) is a title holder with the Miss Michigan's Outstanding Teen Organization.  She travels all over the state bringing Dyslexia Awareness to our schools and communities.  In addition to that, she is also a gifted artist and we are sure you will see her work on sale someday.  These two have grown up with our customers, so we like to update these photos so our sewing family can see how the "kids" are doing and how proud we are them both.
